It is located next to Playa del Carmen, it is an exclusive residential area, which has luxury hotels (5 Stars and Gran Turismo) that offer beaches with palm trees, white sand and a beautiful crystalline sea, villas, golf courses and a small but attractive aviary. Its cobbled streets and its vast vegetation adorn this exclusive area, the atmosphere is one of tranquility and peace, access is limited so, if you want to know this place, you can enter on foot, by bicycle or taxi.

This place is divided into 2 phases, the first is the least restricted where you will find the residences, villas, a small square that has a store, restaurants, a pharmacy, jewelry, clothing and handicrafts store.

In the second phase, it houses the luxury hotels that were built around a golf course designed by Robert von Hagge, which provides privacy for people who want to get away from the crowds and enjoy a quiet vacation.

Here is the Xaman Ha Aviary, a space dedicated to the care and protection of the exotic birds of the region. In it you can live with the birds that are in freedom and spend a while getting to know them and take several photos of the memory. Access has the same cost that is used for the maintenance of the same birds. If you are not staying here, you can visit this place in one day, it is not very big and it does not take that long to visit it.

What can I do in Playacar?

As most of the hotels in Playacar are all-inclusive, there are many activities that take place in the hotel, but you can also play golf, visit the aviary, or go shopping in the stores that are within the development.

Also since it is next to Playa del Carmen at night you can visit Fifth Avenue, which is a 5-minute walk away, where you can find a multitude of bars, nightclubs, handicraft, clothing and jewelry stores.

How to get to Playacar?

Playacar is located 1 hour from the Cancun airport, you can hire a transportation service or take the A.D.O bus that will take you to Playa del Carmen, once there we recommend you take a taxi to take you to your hotel in Playacar.

If you are in Playa del Carmen, you can walk there, rent a bike or rent a taxi.

Note: There are no buses in Playacar.
