MACAY Museum is a place that promotes the distribution of national and international contemporary art. Therefore, since April 29, 1994 it has maintained an unparalleled workflow, performing about 45 shows per year with a workforce moving about 2000 pieces of art.
The building has 15 rooms for temporary exhibitions, two galleries and four permanent display rooms, showcasing the works of three great figures of the Yucatecan plastic: Fernando Castro Pacheco, Fernando García Ponce y Gabriela Ramirez Aznar.
Also, this museum has a library specializing in art, a craft shop and cafe. The Museum‘s total area is 3,500 meters squared, two and two interior spaces: the garden of the jars and Expo-forum, with a seating capacity of 500 people.
