Tour to the Cenotes

View Photos

The Yucatan Peninsula is surrounded by cenotes that were considered sacred by the Mayans, as they believed they were the gates to the underworld.

Today they are just as important as they are places that provide us with a refuge to cool off from the intense heat in our state.

There is a town that is full of cenotes and where we can take you to see and enjoy its refreshing waters, we refer to the town of Homún, where we will take you to the Parador Santa Bárbara.

In this parador there are 3 beautiful cenotes in which we will go to them by 2 different ways in which you can choose, in a “Truck2 which is a horse-drawn cart on a rail or riding a bicycle. At the entrance they will offer you vests and they will explain to us the care that we must have while we make our visit, it is important to respect these rules for our protection.

In each cenote we will have time to swim, explore and take all the souvenir photos you want.

Later we will go to the Restaurant where we will taste delicious Yucatecan dishes that will make us recover our strength to return to the city of Mérida and take you to your respective hotel.
