Valladolid
Magical Town of Valladolid

It is the second most important city in the state of Yucatán, founded in 1543 in the ancient Mayan city of Zací. Known as “The Sultaness of the East,” it is a hospitable city full of history that makes Yucatán proud. The city is characterized by its clean streets where one can walk confidently at any time of the day or night. It also boasts a welcoming Main Park that offers shade from its laurels to both locals and visitors. In the evenings, the birds fill the air with their songs, announcing the end of the day.
A very important point in the history of Mexico, this is where the Caste War began and where the first spark of the Mexican Revolution was ignited. It is also the midpoint for exploring the state, as it is very close to Chichen Itzá, a few hours from Cancún on one side, and a few hours from Mérida on the other.
You can also enjoy the Municipal Palace and the San Juan de Dios temple. Nearby, you will find the Zací cenote, a deep reservoir of fresh water that used to provide the vital liquid to the entire population in the past, and now serves as a restaurant and natural pool.
