Acanceh had numerous structures that were distributed throughout the town. As the place was inhabited, the inhabitants used the remains of pre-Hispanic buildings to build their homes, thus distributing a piece of history and culture throughout the place.

However, some pre-Hispanic remains such as the Pyramid and the Palacio de los Estucos are still preserved.

The Pyramid has a height of 11 meters and to the side of its stairs you can see stucco masks, apparently these were completely covered by a structure from a more advanced period and the stones that make up the decoration of the pyramid are from the Puuc style.

To the southeast of the Pyramid there is a plinth, on which there are several constructions, among them is the Palacio de los Estucos, it is 6 meters high and 50 meters wide, it has a fresco in which you can still see its beautiful colors and the images of human forms and animals modeled in stucco. The scenes represented symbolize important events in the history of the site and in daily life.

The archaeological zone is open every day of the week from 08:00 to 17:00 hrs and has an access cost of approximately $50 MXN.
