The Yokdzonot Cenote is located 18 kilometers west of Pisté, 15 kilometers west of Chichén Itzá. If you take the free highway it is only 300 meters from Mérida to Chichén Itzá. With a width of 40 meters and a depth of approximately 35 to 45 meters (since not even divers who have come to know this incredible place have been able to find the bottom) it is one of the cenotes that you should definitely visit.

In 2005, a group of women from the Yokdzonot community organized to form a cooperative and thus unite to exploit the cenote that bears the same name as the town for tourism, in order to find another way to earn money. that with the work of the milpa it was not enough.

For 2 years, the women dedicated themselves every afternoon to cleaning and caring for the area where the cenote is located, until in January 2007 they managed to realize their dreams, they opened this majestic cenote to the public.

Nowadays it is already a tourist complex, it has areas where to camp, railings where you can admire the cenote from above, places prepared to rest in a hammock, tables to spend the day, rooms where you can change, bathrooms, a restaurant where you can taste Yucatecan food at a low cost, in addition to the fact that a rappelling area will open soon, it is completely designed for the whole family to enjoy a day in this wonderful place.
